Our Veterinarian
Dr. Daniel Moore was born in Winston-Salem and raised in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Growing up in the mountains of western North Carolina he developed a love for outdoor activities, especially fishing and camping. After high school, he earned his US Coast Guard Captain license and moved to Alaska to become a fishing guide. Eventually, family, friends and fiancé brought him back to western NC where he enrolled at UNCA with the goal of becoming a veterinarian. He graduated from UNCA with high honors and completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Moore enjoys the challenges and gratification of caring for pets, their owners and the problems they encounter. He and his wife, Lelah, have three young children (Winston, Annie and Ellie Jane) and three rescue dogs (Mason, Charlie and Hank)….and Daniel still enjoys fishing and camping
